Three sherds of shell edged blue decorated whiteware. Shell edged blue tablewares of the late 18th and 19th century were not unlike our modern Corelle wares, and their recovery at this rural farmstead site highlights their widespread availability. The plain, unscalloped edges, and the lightly impressed repeating feathered pattern indicate that these sherds likely date between ca. 1840 - 1870s. (Miller and Hunter 1990) |
